Rosalia has new music coming out. The Spanish singer has shared the name of her new album and its release date. "Lux" marks her fourth record and will be released this November 7th. To share the news and get her fans excited, Rosalia announced locations like New York and Madrid.
Rosalia was in the latter city, where she was recorded getting out of her car and running towards a hotel as fans trailed behind her as they tried to record and take pictures of her.
Rosalia teased the announcement on social media, sharing a time and a location for her fans in Madrid and nearby areas. In footage recorded by fans, there's a large timer displayed at the Cines Callao, counting down the seconds for the announcement. When the timer reached zero, Rosalia shared the album's cover on multiple screens, showing her wearing all white.
She shared updates on her arrival on TikTok and greeted fans from the window of a nearby building.
In footage obtained by the Spanish publication El País, one of Rosalia's members of her team members recorded their arrival at the location. The video showed Rosalia and her friends in the car, excited for the release as she drove them towards the location. As the crowds gathered around the vehicle, it became harder and harder for Rosalia to drive, resulting in her jumping out of the car and making a run towards the nearby hotel.
The run prompted Rosalia's fans to follow her, with many reaching towards her with their cameras and pulling on her.
More details about Rosalia's record
Rosalia has kept all details regarding her new album away from the spotlight, with the news only coming out earlier this week.
Per the record's artwork, Rosalia is seen wearing white and an outfit that resembles that of a nun. In a video, she's also seen holding on to a rosary, and she appears to have dyed a yellow halo at the top of her brown hair, suggesting that the record will have some clear religious overtones.
In an interview conducted over the summer with Radio Primavera Sound, Rosalia shared some hints of the direction of her album. "God is the only one who can fill the spaces if you have the willingness, the attitude, and the way of opening up for that to happen," she said. "I like the idea of living in an enclosure, like a nun, focused on creating and finding peace."
