A Companion Through Many Seasons

Elvis had been a constant in Sharon’s life — 14 years of companionship and shared memories. His passing comes just months after the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22 at age 76.

In her Instagram post, Sharon included several photographs of herself and Elvis, some of which also featured Ozzy, a poignant reminder of how intertwined these lives were.

In one image, Elvis is comfortably curled on Ozzy’s chest, symbolizing not only the bond between the pet and Sharon, but the family’s shared love and loss.

The Story of Loss: A Timeline

In August 2024, Ozzy and Sharon mourn the loss of Ozzy’s 15-year-old Pomeranian, Rocky. “Two days ago I lost my good friend Rocky who has been at my side for 15 years,” Ozzy wrote at the time.

In July 22, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne passes away at 76. The family states he was “with his family and surrounded by love.”While in October 19, 2025, Sharon confirms Elvis’s death. The timing, mere months after Ozzy’s passing, amplifies the emotional weight.

What the Tributes Reveal

Sharon’s Instagram tribute is brief yet powerful. Fans responded warmly, many noting that Elvis may now be reunited with Ozzy in some sense. Meanwhile, Sharon’s daughter, Kelly Osbourne, also weighed in, acknowledging Elvis’s role after her father’s death. “Elvis did not leave my side since my dad passed. He helped get me through the darkest moment of my life," she said.

For Sharon, this loss reflects the end of an era of stability, love and togetherness. Elvis was there through the ups and downs, a silent but steadfast presence in a family that’s known for being anything but quiet. Losing him now adds another layer to the grief she and her loved ones are navigating.

There’s also a broader truth that our pets often become anchors in our lives during both joy and sorrow. Elvis stood by Sharon during 14 crucial years, and his departure leaves a hole not easily filled. Sharon’s sharing of this news underlines the importance of vulnerability and grief, even (or especially) when you’re in the public eye.

Amid loss, there’s a glimmer of resilience. Sharon has already spoken about rediscovering connection through nature and animals. In September, she and Kelly shared images from a falconry experience, “the connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence,” she wrote.

That sense of reaching out and opening up to healing might just be the compass for the next chapter in her life. Losing two beloved animals and a life partner in quick succession is a monumental emotional load. But Sharon’s continuing to live, to appreciate creatures and nature, to share with her audience, that in itself is a sign of strength.
