Selena Gomez’s wedding weekend begins as family and friends arrive in Los Angeles for the big day

Wedding bells are ringing in California as Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco prepare to say “I do” this weekend. While the couple has kept tight-lipped about specifics, mounting evidence, from celebrity arrivals to cryptic social media posts, suggests that the highly anticipated event is just days away.

Sources have confirmed that the nuptials will take place on Saturday, September 27, at a private estate in Santa Barbara. Guests will reportedly stay nearby at the luxurious El Encanto hotel, where $3,500-a-night rooms are now fully booked for the weekend. In an added layer of secrecy, invitees won’t know the exact wedding location until they’re picked up and driven there.

“All the guests will be picked up and driven to the location without knowing their destination ahead of time,” an insider shared with The Sun, noting that “everyone is so excited despite the mystery, they know it will be an amazing time.”

Gomez, 33, recently celebrated her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas alongside close friends Racquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, and Courtney Lopez. The group soaked up the sun aboard a yacht, where the bride-to-be was seen in a white bikini, minidress, and beach coverup.

Selena’s cousin Priscilla Marie was also in attendance, showcasing their close bond, which includes Gomez serving as maid of honor at Priscilla’s 2019 wedding and as godmother to her daughter, Aubriella Marie.

Priscilla’s presence was recently spotted again in an Instagram Story from Gomez’s longtime friend and former assistant, Theresa Marie, hinting that wedding preparations are already underway in Los Angeles. Family and friends have started arriving in the city ahead of the big day.

Meanwhile, Blanco’s bachelor party reportedly took place in Las Vegas at a lavish $25,000-a-night villa, according to TMZ. Speculation among fans kicked off when Gomez posted a photo on the Rare Beauty Instagram account showing off makeup and accessories, captioned “Me all weekend.”

Combined with reports from friends and insiders, this further fueled the belief that the wedding was imminent. The couple, who confirmed their relationship in late 2023, got engaged in December 2024 after over a year together.

At the time, Gomez shared a carousel of engagement photos on Instagram with the caption, “forever begins now.” Her best friend, Taylor Swift, left a comment, “be the flower girl.” However, Swift’s attendance at the ceremony remains unconfirmed.

Nicky Hilton has confirmed that her sister, Paris Hilton, will be among the wedding guests. Also expected to attend are Gomez’s “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin. The pair even joked on-set about being involved in the ceremony.

Gomez herself touched on wedding preparations earlier this month during her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, saying, “It’s wonderful. I’m very lucky. It’s going well. I’m so excited.”

Ahead of the ceremony, Selena and Benny received a unique wedding gift from PETA, a vegan version of Blanco’s favorite snack, chips and caviar. Lisa Lange, the organization's senior VP of communications, commented, “Anything and everything can be made vegan these days,” calling it an “animal-friendly twist on Benny’s favorite combo.”

While the location and details have been closely guarded, all signs now point to a beautiful and intimate wedding weekend in Montecito or Santa Barbara. Whether it’s close friends, family, or co-stars, everyone involved seems thrilled about the celebration, even if they’re kept slightly in the dark.
