Kali Uchis is making it clear she is not friends with D4vd following the shocking discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernández’s body inside a Tesla registered to the 20-year-old singer. The Colombian-American star announced she’s trying to pull their track “Crashing” after the disturbing news.

Uchis set the record straight on Instagram when someone left a comment saying, "Your friend ddvd is a murderer and chomo smh." She responded saying, "Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given today’s disturbing news.”

After another user responded to the original commenter saying, "Girl but how was she supposed to know this," Uchis hit back, calling out "internalized misogyny," saying, “It’s fine bb, people like this are the reason women are always blamed for what men do lol. The internalized misogyny of this world, I guess.”

The song in question appeared on D4vd’s debut album Withered and had its own official video, but Uchis is now making sure it gets removed from streaming platforms.

The case surrounding D4vd has sent shockwaves through California. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, on September 8, a dismembered body was discovered in an impounded Tesla registered to the singer and licensed in Texas.

Police were called to an impound lot after complaints of a strong odor coming from an abandoned car in the Hollywood Hills area near his house five days prior.

It belonged to Celeste, a teenager who had been missing since April 2024 in Lake Elsinore. TMZ reported that Celeste and D4vd shared matching tattoos, the word “Shhh…” inked on their right index fingers, and Celeste’s mother claimed her daughter told her she had a boyfriend named “David,” which happens to be D4vd’s real name: David Anthony Burke.

Investigators confirmed the car was registered to D4vd, though he has not been officially named a suspect, and no charges have been filed.  According to TMZ, forensic investigators took part in a 12-hour search of D4vd's home.

“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement to ABC 7.

Following the discovery, D4vd abruptly canceled a scheduled concert in Seattle and canceled the remaining leg of his U.S. tour.

Hs label Interscope has pulled all promotion, and a bloody shirt merch has also been removed from his website.

Celeste’s family is raising funds through GoFundMe to cover burial costs. “Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are asking for help to lay her to rest. Any donation is deeply appreciated,” reads the campaign description.
