Kylie Jenner has her eyes on the future, and it includes her daughter, Stormi Webster, playing a much bigger role in both beauty and potentially entertainment. The beauty mogul, now 28, opened up about her evolving vision for Kylie Cosmetics and her hopes for Stormi’s future.

Speaking with Beauty Inc. in an interview, Jenner made it clear that her daughter is very much part of her long-term business plans. “It’s my dream that my daughter will want to take over Kylie Cosmetics,” she said. “I would love for this to be a legacy brand, and I’m working hard every day to set up that future.”

Kylie Cosmetics, which began in 2015 with a handful of lip kits, has grown into a powerhouse with reported net sales nearing $350 million. Despite a decade in the beauty business, Jenner told Beauty Inc., “After 10 years, I’m just still so excited to create.”

Stormi’s interest in makeup is already well-documented. Jenner has often shared glimpses of her daughter's curiosity, from “shopping” in her glam room to starring in playful TikTok tutorials together. “Stormi loves to play with makeup,” Kylie said.

In one adorable moment during a Greece vacation, the mother-daughter duo filmed a get-ready-with-me using Kylie Cosmetics products, though Kylie gently reminded, "Obviously, she doesn't wear makeup yet."

Her love for beauty might not be Stormi’s only path. In an earlier conversation with Dazed magazine, Jenner shared another vision. “She’s a good dancer. She has this voice,” she said of her 7-year-old daughter. “I don’t know, I have no idea, but I hope that she’s an artist, and I could go on tour and be her tour manager.”

As a mother of two, Kylie shares Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3, with ex Travis Scott, she’s aware of the weight of parenthood and legacy. She's been vocal about how her journey into motherhood changed her. “Everyone says you change completely when you become a mom, but I really feel the same, just better,” she told Kim Kardashian in 2018.

Kylie has also expressed what it means to be truly grounded amid fame. In a 2024 British Vogue interview, she reflected on the unconditional love of her kids. “I come home and my kids just love me unconditionally,” she said. “They’re just obsessed with me and that’s taught me to walk through life a little easier. I’m like, ‘Okay, well I have these little humans at home that need me and love me and think I’m the most perfect person in the world, so I don’t really need validation from outside sources.’”

While Stormi may one day inherit Kylie’s billion-dollar business, Jenner is making it clear that it will be her daughter’s choice to make. “Stormi is my legacy,” she told tmrw in 2021. “I'm raising her to be smart and kind and driven. Maybe she will take over Kylie Cosmetics one day.” She added, “Only if she wants to.”

Despite growing up in the public eye, Kylie is careful about protecting her children from too much media exposure. In a New York Times interview, Jenner emphasized that it’s her “responsibility” to protect Stormi’s privacy.

“She’s innocent," Kylie said, explaining why she requested that her daughter not be quoted after unexpectedly joining the interview. “She comes in here, and she doesn’t know we’re doing an interview and then she has these quotes out in the open and she’s 6 years old. It’s my responsibility to protect her.”
