Celebrity visits to Mexico never go unnoticed. Just a few weeks ago, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez-Bezos made headlines walking through the capital’s streets, followed soon after by Cindy Crawford. Now it is the turn of one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors: Leonardo DiCaprio.

On September 18th, the Oscar winner’s arrival in Mexico was confirmed, thrilling his most devoted fans. DiCaprio traveled to Mexico City as part of the promotional tour for One Battle After Another (dir. Paul Thomas Anderson), his new film. The 50-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars, Benicio del Toro and Chase Infiniti.

Just days earlier, the trio had been in London. In Mexico, they radiated camaraderie at the film’s photocall, which took place in the heart of the city’s historic center. Together and individually, they posed in front of one of Mexico City’s most recognizable monuments, the Monument to the Revolution.

For the occasion, DiCaprio opted for a relaxed look with black pants, an olive-green polo shirt, a beige jacket, and dark sunglasses. Del Toro wore black pants, a navy blue shirt, and a burgundy blazer, while Chase Infiniti stood out in a faux-leather brown halter dress paired with sheer sock boots.

Later that same evening, DiCaprio, Del Toro, and Infiniti will walk the red carpet at the Mexican premiere of One Battle After Another at the Parque Toreo mall in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.

The film, which also stars Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, and Regina Hall, is an action comedy that has been well-received since its world premiere on September 8th.

According to the official synopsis: “Failed revolutionary Bob (DiCaprio) lives in a state of paranoia fueled by drug use, disconnected from reality and surviving alongside his energetic, independent daughter, Willa (Infiniti).

When his sinister nemesis (Penn) resurfaces after 16 years only to vanish again, the former radical embarks on a desperate search, as father and daughter battle the consequences of their past.” The film will hit theaters on September 26th.

Leonardo DiCaprio Admits He Rarely Watches His Movies: Except for One

Over his decades-long career, Leonardo DiCaprio has appeared in an impressive list of films beloved by audiences worldwide. Yet the actor recently revealed that he does not usually like watching himself on screen except for one very special project: The Aviator (2004), directed by Martin Scorsese.

“I rarely watch my movies, but to be honest, there is one I have seen more than the others. It is The Aviator. Simply because it was such a special moment for me,” DiCaprio shared last month in an interview with director Paul Thomas Anderson for Esquire. “I had already worked with Marty [Scorsese] on Gangs of New York, and I had been carrying around a book about Howard Hughes for ten years. I almost made it with Michael Mann, but there was a scheduling conflict and I ended up bringing it to Marty.”

In the film, DiCaprio portrayed aviation pioneer Howard Hughes alongside Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale.
