Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24 following a heart attack, and nearly two months later, details have come out about his will. As one of the biggest wrestling stars of all time, he's left behind a massive amount of assets, and reportedly listed only one person as his sole beneficiary.
As for who he decided to leave it all to, his son Nick is the sole beneficiary, while Hulk’s widow, Melanie Sky Daily, was listed as a surviving spouse. Nick filed court documents on Tuesday, which say he left behind nearly $5 million in assets, per Us Weekly. Those assets included $200,000 in cryptocurrency, $799,000 in personal and intellectual property, and his lucrative right to publicity valued at around $4 million.
The 35-year-old is pushing to be named co-personal representative of the estate alongside a man named Terry McCoy. He noted that Hulk, whose real name was Terry Bollea, first executed his will in 2016 before amending it four times between 2017 and 2023. He also presented McCoy as a possible curator for the estate.
There was also a potential medical malpractice lawsuit tied to Hulk’s alleged botched neck surgery just months before his death, noted on the filing, with Nick leaving the monetary amount blank. Hulk’s widow is still weighing her legal options but hasn’t filed the suit yet.
Nick also revealed he filed a lawsuit against Bubba the Love Sponge to block the release of Hulk’s infamous sex tape.
His daughter, Brooke Hogan, isn’t listed as a beneficiary and will not be receiving any of the assets. She made the decision back in 2023, when she voluntarily asked to be removed from the will to avoid disputes with the rest of Hulk’s circle.
Following his passing, she shared a long statement that gently touched on his "financial success" for others. "In the end, he continued to be a financial success for many. This was the last thing I wanted for him — he’s been working and tearing his body apart his entire life," she wrote.
Brooke will only receive a small portion from a life insurance policy that sources told the outlet she is "grateful" for and will use to put towards her kid's college funds.
Hulk's cause of death was listed as a heart attack, or acute myocardial infarction, per Page Six. He also had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common type of irregular and often rapid heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that originates in the atria, the two upper chambers of the heart.
A request for cremation approval included one shocking revelation: he was secretly battling leukemia before he passed. Per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, Hulk had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and his health was in decline.
