The rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, Victoria and David, and his little brother continues. As family milestones come and go, his absence has been front and center. This time, he skipped his little brother's 23rd birthday celebration.

Over the weekend, the Beckham family came together to celebrate Romeo at Aki, an exclusive European-Japanese fusion restaurant in central London.

Surrounded by friends and family, the night reflected the tight bond David and Victoria still share with their younger children. But once again, their oldest, Brooklyn, was nowhere to be seen. After months of drama, it seems like the rift between the 26-year-old and his family hasn’t eased.

Victoria, 51, and David, 50, hosted the party, joined by Cruz Beckham, 20, with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, who is ten years older than him, as well as the youngest, Harper Seven, who turned 14 this past July.

DJ duo Hale Zero, the same performers who played at David’s birthday earlier this year, kept the energy up all night. As for dessert, Romeo got his favorite cake from Tony’s Traditional Pie & Eel House, a well-known spot in Essex.

A source close to Romeo told the Daily Mail the night was full of friends and family. "They wanted to give Romeo a special night to remember. It has been a difficult year for the Beckhams," they said.

As for who did or did not get invited, the insider noted a "feud between the Beckham brothers." Saying, "it is unlikely that Romeo would have invited Brooklyn – something that David and Victoria have now accepted is 'just how things are now.'"

"While it might seem a big deal to the outside world that Brooklyn wasn’t there, amongst the family, it isn’t. It is sad, but David and Victoria get it. Of course, they would do anything to get him back in their arms, but that’s not possible right now," the insider said.

Brooklyn’s absence at Romeo’s party adds to a string of missed family moments in 2025. It's all been a puzzle trying to figure out who is still on good terms with whom.

It's unclear what exactly sparked the rift between the brothers, but there were rumors swirling about Romeo's ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. A story started to make its rounds that Turnbull dated Brooklyn before him, which she denied. “We have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point,” she wrote on her IG story after the breakup.

Back in March, he skipped the family’s Paris trip to support Victoria at her Fall/Winter 2025–26 show at the Château de Bagatelle. Then, in April, he wasn’t there for his mom's 51st birthday, and weeks later, he also missed David’s milestone 50th in London.

Now it looks like the only people on speaking terms are Brooklyn and his little sister.  In July, Brooklyn did publicly wish Harper a happy 14th birthday on Instagram, sharing a photo with his younger sister and wife Nicola Peltz. She reposted the image to send her own birthday wishes.

Then in August, Brooklyn and Peltz renewed their wedding vows just three years after their initial ceremony, and his family was once again absent. Her friend Rebecca Faria later made headlines after she blasted the famous family in an Instagram comment.

She called out people "judging" Nicola, who "actually had the guts to walk away" from a toxic family. "Everyone’s been kissing the Beckhams’ ass forever, and Nicola was the first to stand up for her values since she couldn’t care less about their fame or money!" she wrote in screenshots posted by TMZ.

One thing that has stayed consistent is an ongoing back and forth feud between Victoria and Nicole that goes back to their wedding. As for Brooklyn, he liked a comment from another user that said if he wanted his parents at their renewal, they would have been. “What if - and it's very possible since none of us actually know them or their relationship - he made the choice not to invite his parents?" The commenter wrote.
