Five years after the tragic loss of her husband, Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant continues to confront persistent and baseless pregnancy rumors. The widow of the late NBA legend addressed the gossip once more following her appearance at the 2025 U.S. Open Women’s Finals in New York.
On Saturday, Vanessa attended the match alongside her three youngest daughters, Natalia, 22, Bianka, 8, and Capri, 6, wearing a chic white dress, with the younger girls matching her look. The eldest daughter, Natalia, sported a preppy ensemble of her own as they enjoyed the thrilling final between Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova.
Later that evening, Vanessa posted an Instagram Story showing herself sipping the tournament’s signature cocktail, the “Honey Deuce," a refreshing mix of Grey Goose vodka, lemonade, raspberry liqueur, and frozen honeydew melon balls shaped like tennis balls.
Captioning the photo with a nod to the ongoing rumors, Vanessa wrote, “Enjoying my honey deuce. Keep me posted on how this imaginary pregnancy rumor is coming along. 24 years later….same rumor.”
The post was accompanied by Megan Thee Stallion’s 2022 hit “Her,” adding a sassy soundtrack to her message. This isn’t the first time Vanessa has publicly shut down such speculation.
Back in June, she shared a meme of Rihanna flipping the bird with the caption, “Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.” She has consistently made it clear that these rumors hold no truth.
Vanessa and Kobe shared four daughters, including Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, who tragically died alongside Kobe and seven others in the 2020 Calabasas helicopter crash.
Vanessa honors their memories regularly. Just weeks ago, on what would have been Kobe’s 47th birthday, she posted a heartfelt throwback photo captioned, “We love and miss you and Gigi so much. Sending our love to you. Happy birthday, baby.”
Over the years, Vanessa has discussed her grief openly. "This pain is unimaginable [but] you just have to get up and push forward," she said in a 2021 interview with People. "Lying in bed crying isn't going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again. But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that's what I do."
"I guess the best way to describe it is that Kobe and Gigi motivate me to keep going," she continued. "They inspire me to try harder and be better every day. Their love is unconditional and they motivate me in so many different ways."
Despite the swirling rumors, Vanessa Bryant remains focused on her family and preserving Kobe’s legacy. She has not publicly dated since Kobe’s passing and continues to be a symbol of strength and resilience to many.
