Forget the actors, the singers, even the models. The true star of the Venice Film Festival’s red carpet last night wasn’t a person at all, but rather the jaw-dropping engagement ring Cristiano Ronaldo gave to Georgina Rodríguez.
Anticipation had been building to see all the details of the ring, valued at a minimum of $6 million, and Georgina wasn’t about to let anyone look away. She quite literally lit up the carpet, ensuring her diamond stole the show.
Each year, the world’s oldest film festival transforms Venice into the global capital of cinema, and, of course, fashion. The Lido becomes a runway lined with couture gowns and glittering jewels.
However, while plenty of gorgeous pieces turned heads this year, all eyes inevitably landed on Georgina’s left hand.
The Spanish-born, Argentina-raised influencer has attended the festival six times, but this appearance was easily her most special. Not only was it her first since becoming engaged, it also marked the first time the public saw her ring up close, rather than through Instagram posts.
Georgina's Signature Style
Georgina chose a sultry look that celebrated her curves. She turned to Roberto Cavalli, whose designs align perfectly with her glamorous aesthetic, and wore a custom slip-inspired gown.
The dress featured delicate spaghetti straps, a figure-hugging silhouette, and a subtle train. Made of sheer black lace embroidered with florals over a nude lining, it created an alluring illusion of bare skin.
And while the gown was striking, Georgina made sure the ring remained the main event. She played to the cameras with playful hand gestures and radiant smiles, letting the diamond sparkle from every angle.
Alongside the headline-making engagement ring, she stacked diamond rings with floral motifs from Pasquale Bruni, one of her go-to jewelers, plus matching earrings and a statement necklace.
Her sleek dark hair was styled in a low braid with a center part, and her glam featured dramatic lashes and softly ombré brown lips.
The Most Expensive Engagement Rings in History
Just two weeks ago, Georgina shared her engagement with the words: “Yes, I do. In this life and all the lives to come.”
In the photo, her hand rested on Ronaldo’s, revealing the enormous oval-cut diamond flanked by two triangular side stones.
Experts estimate the ring is worth at least $6 million, though some jewelers suggest the price could climb closer to $20–25 million when factoring in the side diamonds.
That figure would put Georgina’s sparkler at the very top of the world’s most expensive celebrity engagement rings. Until now, the crown belonged to Elizabeth Taylor’s legendary 33-carat stone, worth about $8.8 million, followed by Grace Kelly’s four-million-dollar Cartier ring.
However, with her dazzling Venice debut, Georgina may have just redefined what it means to have the ultimate fairytale engagement ring.
