Kevin Costner is moving on after his very public divorce. After briefly sparking rumors with singer Jewel, the Yellowstone star seemed to be enjoying the single life. But he reportedly has a new lady in his life.
According to PEOPLE, Costner is "seeing" director Kelly Noonan Gores. A source said they met through mutual friends. They made sure to note that it's "very casual." One insider noted, “She thinks he’s wonderful and interesting.”
Who is Kelly Noonan Gores?
According to Google Books, she's been working in the entertainment industry since she was 7 and transitioned from acting to producing. She started Elevative Entertainment "with the intention to create conscious media that informs, empowers, and inspires."
She wrote, directed, and produced the 2017 award-winning feature-length documentary Heal, and wrote the companion book. "She is a mother, a seeker, a meditator, and loves to read, write, play sports, travel, and spend time in nature," the website explains.
They are both fresh out of divorces. For Gores, 46, she split from billionaire Alec Gores in 2024 after eight years of marriage. As noted by PEOPLE, on her Heal with Kelly podcast earlier this year, she described the divorce as “excruciating."
While she admitted that even though she initiated the conversation, she explained, “neither of us wanted this, and it was extremely heartbreaking.” The former couple share a 6-year-old daughter, Riley.
On top of the divorce, she lived in a house in Pacific Palisades that burned down during the LA fires. Although she is seeing the actor, a source told PEOPLE that dating isn’t Gores’ main focus. “The past year was tumultuous for her," they said, noting, "She’s focused on her daughter and her own health.”
Still, she and Costner have been spending time together. Though he lives in Carpinteria and she’s based in Manhattan Beach, the two “both frequent Aspen often and have mutual friend groups,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They have been getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can.”
On top of their divorces, they have another thing in common: parenthood.
Costner shares three children: Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14, with ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, and has four adult kids from previous relationships.
Moving on after Christine
His split from Baumgartner dominated headlines last year, with back-and-forth court battles, financial drama, and her whirlwind romance with financier Josh Connor, one of Costner’s former close friends.
After being spotted vacationing together in Hawaii and spending Christmas in New York, PEOPLE reported in January that Connor proposed during a beachside dinner in Santa Barbara.
The news comes after it was reported in February that Costner began dating again last spring and was being set up with different women by his closest advisors and friends. "Kevin's been having his agent set him up with women," a source told Parade.
Following the divorce, Costner's name had been tossed around in the rumor mill, from Jewel, after the two appeared cozy at a tennis fundraiser, to Jennifer Lopez (which turned out to be completely fake). But until now, he hasn’t been seriously linked to anyone.
