Cardi B's courtroom looks continue to fuel pregnancy speculation: what she's said

You should never assume a woman is pregnant, but Cardi B has fans convinced that she is expecting her fourth child. The 32-year-old is in the midst of her civil trial, and it's been a media circus. Thursday marked the first day, and people couldn't help but notice that her outfits seemed to be strategically hiding her tummy.

Cardi arrived Thursday with a tailored all-white Jacquemus power suit featuring high, wide-leg trousers and a blazer with rounded shoulders. She styled it with oversized gold-rimmed sunglasses, her Chrissie LV bag, and voluminous waves.

In pictures, she also seems to have her arm over her midsection. The crisp, monochromatic outfit made her look in control and confident, which was also the vibe in the courtroom.

Clips have been coming out from inside during testimony, and she is proving to be one of the most entertaining celebrities to ever take the stand. A security guard, Emani Ellis, claims Cardi thought she was recording her and attacked her by spitting on her, body-shaming her, and slashing her face with long nails. She says the injury required plastic surgery. She filed the lawsuit in 2020, accusing Cardi of assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress.

On her second day of testimony, August 27, Cardi made sure all eyes were on her courtroom look. While she must answer truthfully to questions about her wig, nails, and what she did or didn't say back in 2018 at the OBGYN, the rapper has kept the internet guessing when it comes to the pregnancy rumors. 

The rumors first kicked off earlier this month when Cardi shared a video of herself rapping to her latest single, “Imaginary Playerz,” in a fitted black bodysuit. Fans immediately zoomed in on her midsection and began speculating.

She eventually snapped back on Instagram Live on August 21, just days before her first day of testimony. When a fan commented that she looked “30 weeks pregnant,” Cardi didn’t hold back. “No, you stupid b***h,” she said bluntly. “I’m just out of breath ’cause I have asthma. Stop f***ing being f***ing funny in this bitch before you get motherfucking blocked.” 

Taking women at their word, especially with pregnancy, should always happen, but Cardi later tweeted a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, of Tokyo Toni writing: “But AM I?…” leaving fans in limbo. 

It would be her fourth pregnancy, less than a year after welcoming her third child with Offset.
