Julia Fox has spoken candidly about her cosmetic procedures, and why she now wishes she could go back to her natural self. The 35-year-old actress and model, best known for Uncut Gems and the upcoming film Presence, revealed she first went under the knife at just 21.
Her journey into beauty enhancements began with Botox and filler, eventually leading to liposuction, rhinoplasty (a nose job), and veneers.Looking back, she admits these choices were fueled by her belief that she needed to be attractive to men in order to “survive.”

She admits to plastic surgery regrets
Fox says that when she meets women who have never had beauty tweaks, she envies their natural look. “Now, when I see someone and I can tell they’ve never done anything…I wish I could go back and be that person,” she said.
Despite her regret, the HIM star acknowledges that she may still choose to have more work done in the future. “I probably will [get more work done one day], but I’m just not as concerned with it right now.”

Julia also shared her evolving perspective on aging, women’s beauty, and the pressure to maintain a youthful appearance.
She admitted, “That’s what I think I’m the most scared of, feeling old, and there are times where I feel old…Tired, over it, disillusioned.” Then, she shared that she wants to embrace what’s ahead rather than chase her younger appearance.

I just want to see who’s there waiting for me. It’ll definitely be uncomfortable, but I think I’m ready for it.”
She also noted that there is “something to be said” about older women’s natural beauty, stressing that while she admires it, she doesn’t fear aging itself.

This isn’t the first time Julia has spoken out about plastic surgery. In June 2025, she told People magazine that she believes women should be open about cosmetic work, from Botox and fillers to more invasive surgeries.
Praising what she calls the “new wave of women” being transparent about their beauty treatments, she explained, “I love it. I think we should be honest. Women set the bar for each other, and I feel like if you’re setting an unrealistic bar [by not being honest]…that’s really great for you, but what about all the girls that are so impressionable?”
She continued, “It’s like, girl, none of us look like this, you know what I mean? Like, we all look really different without the surgery, without the fillers, without the makeup, and all the things we do, the face tapes, the wigs, the tanning creams. The list goes on. On and on and on.”
