It's been exactly one year since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce in January 2025, closing the chapter on their high-profile rekindling and two-year marriage. But if JLo has any regrets, she’s not showing it.

Finishing her successful 'Up All Night: Live in 2025' tour with a sold-out final show in Sardinia, Lopez took a moment to reflect, not on heartache, but on healing. “This was the most beautiful, happy, and free summer,” she wrote to fans on Instagram. “My only wish is that you feel as joyful as you made me feel every night. I love you.”

While the singer found joy in the European spotlights, Ben Affleck kept things low-key for his 53rd birthday on August 15, marking his first since the divorce.

The Oscar-winning actor was spotted at Huckleberry Café in Santa Monica with two of his children, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13. Stepping out in a white button-up and khakis, the actor was photographed leaving with a to-go bag, possibly filled with birthday pastries, while Violet, 19, appeared to skip the outing.

For both stars, summer 2025 has been very different from last year, when the pair faced a difficult split. 2024 was marked by JLo's canceled tour and the unraveling of her marriage. But this summer, JLo was back stronger than ever.

She also kept it real right before starting the tour. “I told [Tiffany Haddish], ‘Girl, I’m not looking for no man. I’m happy right now, I’m not trying to ruin it, okay?’” she joked to Access Hollywood, and on Instagram, she quoted Céline Dion: “I do it for mah-self.”

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez married in July 2022, rekindling their early 2000s romance, and split two years later.

Earlier this year, Affleck opened up about the split in GQ’s April 2025 issue. “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue,” he said, emphasizing the quiet split and denying any dramatic moments.

“I love and support this person. I believe in them. They’re great,” he said of Lopez. “You don’t marry a ship captain and then say, ‘Well, I don’t like going out in the water.’ You’ve got to own what you knew going into any relationship.”

He added that despite public speculation, Lopez’s documentary 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told' was not the reason for their split, but instead, he acknowledged their different approaches to fame. “I’m more reserved and private than she is,” he admitted.
