Brooklyn later told PEOPLE about the intimate celebration. “To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with [Nicola]. I think the most important thing that someone can do is find that person that they're going to spend the rest of their life with. It definitely shapes you as a person. Yeah, it was really, really cute. It was really fun.”

The vow renewal has been a point of tension within the Beckham family. According to insiders to The Sun, David and Victoria were not informed beforehand, discovering the news through the media, just like the public. None of Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo, Cruz, or Harper, received invitations.

The event was officiated by Nicola’s billionaire father, Nelson Peltz, while Nicola wore her mother’s 1985 wedding dress. Brooklyn wore a suit without a tie, and the couple shared their special moments on social media with the caption, “only love.”
