Paris Jackson has reemerged in the public eye for the first time since her emotional breakup with fiancé Justin Long, and she wasn’t alone. Surrounded by longtime friends and family, the 27-year-old singer and model stepped out on Tuesday night to attend Cara Delevingne’s birthday celebration at the legendary Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
Looking stylish in a sheer white button-down, tan mini skirt, and a loosely draped tie, Paris appeared to find support in the presence of her godfather, Macaulay Culkin, and his fiancée, Brenda Song. The trio, joined by Paris's close friend Mel and cousin Austin Brown, spent the evening mingling at the star-studded party.
The party also drew celebrities like Jacob Elordi, Kaia Gerber, Julia Fox, Tyga, and Margot Robbie, among others. The outing came just days after Paris publicly confirmed the end of her engagement to Long.
On July 31, she addressed fans directly after being photographed crying in Malibu. “Those are breakup tears. y’all are fkn reaching again,” she posted on X. The photos, taken on July 23, quickly sparked speculation that her emotional state was related to her father Michael Jackson’s death anniversary, which she later debunked.
The couple had been dating since 2022, and in December 2024, Paris joyfully announced their engagement. The since-deleted post featured Long down on one knee in a theater lobby, proposing with a diamond ring.
At the time, she wrote. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
Even as recently as June, Paris was spotted wearing her engagement ring at the Tribeca Festival, where she walked the red carpet with Justin. Days later, she spoke to Access Hollywood about her wedding plans: “The dress is being made, the venue has been picked and the date has been picked by an astrologer, because I’m from LA. I’m all about the crystals and the astrologer, and all that stuff.”
The sudden change came as a shock to many, including fans who noticed the couple’s visible tension during a roadside moment in Malibu. At the time, Justin was seen comforting a visibly distressed Paris, just a week before the June 25 anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing.
Now, as she begins to heal, her circle is stepping up. Macaulay Culkin, godfather to Paris, Prince, and Blanket Jackson, has remained a constant figure in her life. The two share a famously close bond, which the actor acknowledged in a 2018 WTF podcast episode. “I’m very protective of her. She is beloved by me. I love her so much. She’s tall and beautiful and smart," he said.
