Time has flown since Ricky Martin introduced his twins. Valentino and Matteo are no longer babies but handsome young teens. Of the two, it’s Tino who’s most active on social media, often sharing glimpses into his life. A few days ago, fans were concerned about his health, but it looks like he’s doing much better now. He was recently seen enjoying a beach day, the perfect plan ahead of his birthday.
Over the weekend, Valentino posted on Instagram showing off his ideal summer moment. “Sunset at the spot!” he wrote. He turns 17 on August 6, just like his twin brother Matteo.
Tino, who has over 83K followers, shared a couple of photos and a video showing him peacefully enjoying a beach sunset. In the first shot, he’s standing at the edge of the water, watching the sun dip below the horizon. In the second, he’s sitting on the sand in the same spot. The video starts with gentle waves touching his bare feet and ends with a wide shot of the scenery.
He didn’t say where he was, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was Puerto Rico. That’s his famous dad’s homeland. Some followers commented that it looked like the “Isla del Encanto,” describing it as beautiful and peaceful. This post came just a few days after Valentino sparked concern about his health. “I haven’t been feeling well the past few days,” he wrote in late July, alongside a photo showing an IV in his arm.
However, it seems the picture wasn’t taken at a hospital but at home. You could see what looked like living room furniture in the background. It’s likely he was getting some kind of vitamin therapy to recharge and lift his spirits. “I promise you your boy will be okay!” he added.
Ricky Martin and His Close Bond with His Twins
Although Martin hasn’t publicly wished his twins a happy birthday yet, he’s likely celebrating with them in private. The Puerto Rican singer has a very close relationship with his kids. He’s even mentioned that he often takes them along with him on his concert tours around the world.
“It’s amazing. They don’t want to leave; they’re with me all the time. I go on tour, and they come with me because we have tutors who travel with us too. After the pandemic, Zoom really made things easier,” Ricky Martin said in a March 2024 interview with Despierta América (Univision).
"I love that we’re close and they can ask anything, and I’ll answer honestly. And of course, I also have Lucía and Renn… I have the energy, we’re healthy, so everything is wonderful,” he added, referring to his two younger kids, whom he shares with his ex-husband Jwan Yosef.
