Heidi Klum isn’t holding anything back, from her unexpected gray hairs to her bold approach to parenting and marriage. At 52, the model and TV host is embracing everything that comes with aging, including some surprising changes to her body, and she’s just fine with it.

In a new interview with People, Heidi revealed that while her iconic blonde hair hasn’t turned silver yet, she has found gray hairs elsewhere. “I have one in my eyebrow. It’s so weird,” she said. “And I have one on this boob that is this long sometimes.”

But body changes haven’t shaken her self-esteem. “I have no problem walking around in my underwear,” she shared. “I’m not hiding in a corner.” Instead, she’s leaning into a culture that’s slowly shedding outdated ideals about beauty and age. “Now it’s okay to be older—but it didn’t use to be like that,” she explained. “Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we’ve changed and come all that way.”

Confidence has always been part of her brand, especially when it comes to being her authentic self. “I’ve been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram,” she said. “For the past 15 years, other people are now doing what I’ve been doing for 30 years. Instead of being in my little bottoms in a magazine, I’m on Instagram. It’s the same thing.”

During the interview, she also talked about her marriage to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz since 2019, which at the beginning made headlines for their 17-year age gap. “When our door closes at home, I don’t really care so much what happens around us,” she said. “I’ve learned things from my husband that I didn’t know I was capable of doing."

Her now-husband encouraged her to give him a clean slate. “Tom said, ‘Don’t do this to me, because I’m not this person, I’m not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.’”

“He loves sitting there, and I go into the changing room and I come out with a different outfit on,” she revealed about their dynamic. “He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up.”
