From D.C. to Disneyland. Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance took their children, Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel, to the happiest place on earth on Saturday.

Aside from the noticeable presence of their security detail, JD and Usha looked like any other parents enjoying a day at the theme park with their young kids. The vice president and second lady were dressed down, both sporting baseball caps. The couple's sons Ewan and Vivek twinned in Mickey Mouse T-shirts, while their daughter Mirabel wore an adorable red dress.

One X user, Matt Desmond a.k.a. @DisneyScoopGuy, shared videos of the second family at Disneyland—which is celebrating its 70th anniversary—including a video of the vice president riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with his daughter and one of his sons. @DisneyScoopGuy additionally posted that the second family rode the Haunted Mansion, went to Tom Sawyer Island and dined at 21 Royal on July 12. The family was also spotted getting off of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Alongside a video of the second family at the park, the Mickey Visit Instagram account wrote that a friend "who shared this clip, estimated about 50 security people and Disney employees with VP Vance. He appears to be with his family and on vacation. Dozens of protestors were reportedly seen at the Disneyland Drive and Katella corner last night. The Disneyland Drive street is reportedly closed. A friend of Mickey Visit is staying at Disney’s Grand Californian and described the security in the hotel as intense with a car check in, security dogs, complete bag search and metal detectors."

It's been reported that the Vances are believed to be staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.

The day before hitting the park in Anaheim, the second lady, who is a native of San Diego, California, spent time with Blue Star Families in Oceanside, California. Usha visited Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton on Friday, where she, as part of her effort to share her love of reading and spread the word about her "Summer Reading Challenge" series, read to the Blue Star children. The second lady also passed out personalized bookmarks to the kids and participated in arts and craft activities.

“My mom is here and my daughter is with her, along with some of our friends from growing up here,” Vance said, via FOX 5 San Diego. “I have plenty of classmates that were here at Camp Pendleton as well, so it’s a special honor being here.”

Per FOX 5 San Diego, Friday's event was hosted by Blue Star Families in collaboration with Disney. "We're so excited to welcome Usha Vance here today and to have someone from the White House shining a spotlight on military kids, especially, Mrs. Vance is highlighting reading, and she's got a literacy challenge," Kathy Roth-Douquet, the CEO and founder of Blue Star Families, said, via ABC7 Eyewitness News. "So it dovetails beautifully with our Blue Star Disney Books program."
