Johnny Depp and actress Antonia Desplat looked happy to premiere their new film, "Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness." Desplat is one of the film's stars, while Depp directed the project, marking it his first job in the director's seat since the 1997 film "The Brave."

Depp was photographed attending a London screening of his film, wearing a black suit and matching combat boots. He paired the look with a burgundy shirt, a brown scarf, and some jewelry in the shape of necklaces and rings.

He rounded it all out with some dark sunglasses with blue-tinted lenses.

The screening was also attended by Antonia Desplat, a French actress who is the daughter of the renowned Hollywood composer Alexandre Desplat. The 30-year-old actress plays the role of Beatrice Hastings, the love interest of the film's lead character.

She wore a yellow gown for the occasion, with some brown and lacy fringes. She had her hair styled in a bun and exchanged a friendly moment with Depp, with the two hugging and greeting each other.

Depp then kissed her cheek.

Depp recently addressed his relationship with Amber Heard

Over the past months, Depp has been busy with work, working on his new film with Penelope Cruz and promoting his work as a director for the film "Modi."

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Depp addressed a past romantic relationship. "So, what were my initial dealings with what we call 'love?'" said Depp. "Clearly obtuse."

"If you're a sucker like I am, sometimes you look in a person's eye and see some sadness, some lonely thing, and you feel you can help that person," he said. "But no good deed goes unpunished. There are those who, when you try to love and help them, will start to give you an understanding of what that malaise was in their eyes. It manifests itself in other ways."

While Depp didn't name her directly, his statements made it clear that he was referring to the controversial legal battle that followed after their split, when she accused him of domestic violence and he accused her of defamation.
