Vittoria Ceretti, the 27-year-old Italian fashion model and Leonardo DiCaprio’s new girlfriend, brought effortless elegance to Venice on Thursday, June 26, as the glamorous couple stepped out for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish wedding welcome party.
Dressed in a flowing, backless neutral gown, Ceretti embodied modern Italian beauty while walking alongside DiCaprio, 50, who kept it classic in a blazer and baseball cap.
The pair arrived at the historic Madonna dell’Orto church, joining a glittering guest list that included Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, and Ivanka Trump as festivities began for the billionaire’s three-day wedding celebration.
The couple was spotted exiting the plush Gritti Palace Hotel before heading to the welcome dinner. Ceretti’s minimalist dress captured the breezy sophistication of a Venetian summer evening, while DiCaprio’s laid-back ensemble included a beige shirt, navy trousers, and his signature baseball cap.
At the dinner party, which kicked off the couple’s wedding festivities, Lauren Sánchez wore an off-the-shoulder gold satin gown from Schiaparelli’s Spring-Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection, exuding high-octane glamour.
Meanwhile, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos opted for a classic black suit paired with a crisp white shirt and aviator sunglasses, setting a stylish tone for the weekend’s celebrations.
Leonardo and Vittoria were among approximately 200 high-profile guests attending the welcome soirée, which also drew the Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and their mom Kris Jenner.
Other A-listers included Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as well as legendary broadcasters Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. The high-profile nuptials took place on Friday, June 27, though not without controversy.
Local protests under the banner “No Space for Bezos” erupted in Venice as residents expressed frustration over the city’s commercialization during the billionaire’s wedding festivities.
Protestor Tommaso Cacciari is quoted by The Times newspaper as saying: “Bezos is on the run, this is a crazy victory for a small group of people with no money who went up against one of the richest men on the planet.”
On the other hand, a group of pro-tourism business owners and hoteliers, organized under the name Yes Venice Can, voiced their support for the wedding and the positive visibility it brings to the city.
The group said in a statement: “We cannot allow a noisy minority to discredit the image of this city in the eyes of the world. “We will put on the very best welcome for Bezos, as we always do for those who choose Venice as a holiday destination or as a backdrop to big events. Venice is a city that welcomes people , it doesn’t turn them away.”
