The recent protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Los Angeles have drawn the attention and voices of numerous celebrities, including Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Pedro Pascal, and many more.
As the city reacts to a series of contentious ICE raids targeting immigrant communities, public figures have expressed their strong opinions. One of the latest celebrities to share her thoughts is Demi Lovato. "What’s happening in Los Angeles and across the country is heartbreaking," she shared.
The singer continued, "Immigrants are a vital part of our community and the fabric of our country.” Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian shared a lengthy statement about the raids. “When we're told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals—great," she wrote.
"But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what's right," Kim declared.
Eva Longoria took to social media to share a video expressing her opinions. The actress was vocal in her criticism, particularly the deployment of military forces to manage peaceful protests. She called the militarized response “anti-American,” emphasizing the importance of protecting the rights of all individuals, regardless of immigration status.
“I hope everyone can have more compassion to this issue, and realize that we have industries dependent on immigrant labor. People who feed us, and take care of us, take care of our families and our children, and our communities. We can’t deny them as humans," Eva added.
Pedro Pascal also shared messages of solidarity with immigrant communities. The actor stressed the urgency of resisting unjust policies and voiced support for comprehensive immigration reform that safeguards human dignity.
Doechii weighed in as well during her BET Awards speech, pushing for change and condemning the actions of ICE in Los Angeles. As protests continue, more high-profile voices are amplifying a call to change.
Mark Ruffalo shared on social media his support for "working class people" and immigrants, with many stars agreeing with his statement, including Halle Berry and Melanie Griffith.
