For Christian Siriano, it's Princess Diana's style that reigns supreme. HOLA! USA spoke with the fashion designer about the late Princess' fashion on Sunday at the 78th annual Tony Awards in New York City. When asked if there is a royal whose style he admires, Christian answered, "I mean everyone... I do have clothes that were in Kensington Palace. Some of my beautiful work."

"But I think looking at like old Diana clothes, and I think why they were so iconic is because they were simplistic, but still powerful," the designer continued. "And I think that's, for me, still in my head of like true, I don't know, royal style."

Christian, who was behind a number of red carpet looks at the 2025 Tony's, will be taking his designs to the high seas later this year onboard a vessel that was christened by a member of the British royal family in 2004. The Queen Mary 2, which the late Queen Elizabeth was godmother of, will embark on its Transatlantic Fashion Week voyage from New York on Oct. 31 to Southampton with Christian as the headline designer.

"I'm doing a fashion show on the Cunard. We will be on a boat for seven days. We're doing sketching classes. Coco's doing model camp. Bob Mackie is going to be there with his archives. It's going to be actually really fabulous," Christian told HOLA! USA. "I'm scared. I've never been on a cruise before, but I'm so excited. I think it'll be incredible for people to see that like on a ship. Wild."

Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, has previously described Christian as "a true visionary." Katie said, "His bold old-school glamour mirrors Cunard’s own blend of timeless elegance and modern luxury. Our Fashion Week voyages have become must-attend events, attracting celebrated designers from around the world, and there’s no better venue for such an occasion than Queen Mary 2 – the world’s most glamourous ocean liner.”

The luxury British cruise line, Cunard, was named the official cruise partner of the 78th annual Tony Awards back in April. “The Tony Awards are not only a celebration of the current Broadway season, but of the art of theatre and how it can be shared with new audiences all around the world,” Jason Laks, president of the Broadway League and Heather Hitchens, president & CEO of the American Theater Wing, previously said. “Cunard’s commitment to offering world-class theatre experiences at sea make them the perfect partner as we ring in Broadway’s biggest night!”

Meanwhile Cunard's Liz Fettes, who is senior vice president of commercial North America said, “At Cunard we pride ourselves on bringing world class Broadway and West End talent and productions to our itineraries and have a long and revered history with the arts, welcoming iconic stars from the stage and screen throughout our 185 years. We look forward to celebrating the class of 2025 with a touch of British luxury.”
