Amal Clooney brought old Hollywood glamour to the red carpet at the 2025 Tony Awards in New York City, wearing a jaw-dropping off-the-shoulder gown crafted entirely from cascading strings of luminous pearls.
The 47-year-old human rights lawyer radiated elegance standing beside her husband, George Clooney, 64, who was nominated for Best Actor. Her sculptural white dress shimmered under the lights, perfectly blending sophistication and avant-garde fashion in a look that will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the evening’s best.
Amal complemented the dress with a pair of Roger Vivier heels and a pearlescent box clutch, while finishing off the whole look with a set of diamond earrings and diamond cuffs.
In the end, George, who has been starring in 'Good Night, and Good Luck on The Great White Way', lost out the coveted award to 'Oh Mary!' star Cole Escola.
However, the Hollywood actor, who has eight-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with Amal, was quick to note just how much support his wife gives him through everything.
He told E! News: "I have this incredible partner who I couldn’t be more proud of. She’s the bravest human being I’ve ever met in my life. I am deeply proud of her and the fact that she’s in any way proud of me, if just, I can’t believe how lucky I am."
Depsite starting out in ER and going on to become one of the most in demand stars in Hollywood, George shared that his children "don't care" about his fame and they only really show an interest in pop singer Taylor Swift.
He said, "They want to see Taylor Swift. The funniest part is that they have no idea of references. Robert DeNiro will be at the house and they’re like ‘Who’s that?’ They don’t care!"
George had to shave his famed salt-and-pepper locks for his role as Edward R. Murrow in the play, and joked that he had to use a "weed whacker" to achieve the look. "I had to cut it all out with a weed whacker to get it all. That black hair dye, I had to cut it out. You can’t color that."
