Dakota Johnson is sharing some insight on her 'Materialists' co-star and good friend, Pedro Pascal. The actress revealed a surprising habit in their friendship involving her closet.
Dakota opened up on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' about why Pascal, known for his fan-favorite roles and casual yet stylish looks, keeps showing up in her sweaters, even at major events.
On the June 2 episode of the show, Fallon showed the actress a photo from the 2024 Stevie Nicks concert in London, where the duo were spotted laughing and dancing. Pointing to Pascal, she casually noted, “That’s my sweater.” She went on to explain, “He does that a lot. He takes my clothes.”
The star revealed with a laugh, “He’s like always underdressed. Well, I mean, like he’s wearing a T-shirt, and it’s cold outside. Not like he forgot his pants.” This playful wardrobe borrowing seems to have become an ongoing inside joke between the two friends.
It's no secret that the two actors became fast friends while filming the latest A24 rom-com. The movie, releasing June 13, stars Dakota as Lucy, a modern matchmaker navigating her complicated love life, with Pedro playing Harry, a potential new partner.
In a recent interview for Elle, she said. “I loved you very quickly,” about meeting Pedro. The two shared laughs over their similarities, “We are both incredibly good-looking?” she joked, to which he added, “Yes, we’re both way smarter than we look.”
She also shared a hilarious conversation she had with Pedro. "[Pedro] told me I should have an OnlyFans and that I could just like wiggle my toe and make money. Should I do that? I’m not the right person to ask for advice," Dakota said.
Apart from her professional success, Dakota recently confirmed her split from Coldplay’s Chris Martin, ending their nearly eight-year on-and-off relationship.
Talking about Materialists, Dakota said she found the film’s dating world “so foreign to me,” explaining she’s never been on a dating app despite having had relationships. “Loving someone is the most scary and beautiful thing you can do,” she reflected.
