There's a new Hadid on the block! In a surprise family update that can be a HULU's modern-day fairy tale series, supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid have revealed they recently met and embraced their long-lost sister, 23-year-old Aydan Nix.

According to a heartfelt statement, Gigi (30) and Bella (28) shared with Daily Mail on May 29, the story began over two decades ago. Their father, real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, had a brief relationship with a woman named Terri Hatfield Dull following his divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2000. That relationship led to the birth of Aydan, who was raised in Florida by the man she believed to be her biological father until tragedy struck.

When Aydan was 19, the man who raised her passed away unexpectedly. Years later, in the wake of grief and curiosity, she took a genetic test. The results were a DNA mic drop as she discovered she was biologically connected to the Hadid family.

The New Hadid

Far from a dramatic family feud or tabloid-fueled saga, the Hadid sisters say their response was warmth. They reached out to Aydan in late 2023, and the bond was instant. "We've cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family," Gigi and Bella said. "As siblings, we've had many open and loving conversations, with Aydan included, about how to support and protect her."

Aydan, who is already carving out a creative path, is now living in New York. But despite her lineage and fashion-forward flair, she's not chasing clout or headlines. In fact, the Hadid sisters made it very clear that privacy is their priority.

The Hadids Call for Privacy

"We ask that everyone honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York," Gigi and Bella stated. It's a rare and refreshing move in a celebrity landscape where oversharing is practically currency. Instead, the Hadid family is choosing protection over promotion and love over likes. Sure, it's juicy on paper: secret sister, celebrity DNA test, surprise family reunion, but this story hits on how chosen love can redefine family.

Also, let's not forget the poetic symmetry of how two of the biggest names in fashion just discovered their younger sister is already knee-deep in the same world.

What's Next for the Hadid Sisters (and Aydan)?

If the Hadid track record tells us anything, Aydan has a solid support system and a serious launchpad should she decide to enter the public eye. But whether she stays low-key or eventually steps into the spotlight, she'll be doing so on her terms, with two of the industry's most influential women cheering her on from the sidelines.
