Cardi B's divorce takes a turn: Offset wants spousal support

Offset, known for his extravagant lifestyle and hit records with Migos, is now requesting spousal support from his estranged wife Cardi B as their ongoing divorce proceedings take a new shocking turn.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Offset recently filed an amended divorce response in which he requested that Cardi, whose net worth is reportedly between $80 and $100 million, provide financial support.

While the filing doesn’t specify an amount, it marks a significant shift in the case, which had previously appeared to be progressing with both parties agreeing to cover their own legal fees.

Offset’s request is the latest development in a divorce that has been brewing since Cardi B initially filed in August 2024. Despite the lengthy silence from courtrooms, the former couple has kept their followers updated in their own way, mostly through exchanges on social media.

Cardi didn’t hold back in the past, slamming critics who questioned Offset’s commitment to their children and accusing him of being unsupportive.

Offset, who is reportedly worth around $30 million, is also seeking joint custody of their children. However, he wants the kids’ primary residence to remain with Cardi, suggesting some degree of agreement between the two when it comes to parenting.

Despite the personal turmoil, both artists continue to focus on their careers. Offset has been teasing a new project, sharing snippets on social media, and building anticipation for what could be his next solo release.

Meanwhile, Cardi seems to be moving on, both professionally and personally. She’s been spotted recently with NFL star Stefon Diggs, and a viral yacht video featuring the two only fueled rumors of a new romance.

The filing comes as a potential turning point in the divorce. While the money had not previously been an important point, both parties initially agreed to pay their own way. Offset’s latest ask could complicate the split, especially given the financial disparity between them.
