Did Sofia Vergara just hard launch her new man, Douglas Chabbott, at Cannes?

Sofia Vergara is living her best life in the South of France. On May 21, the actress was spotted leaving the Hotel Eden Roc in Antibes during day nine of the Cannes Film Festival, and she wasn’t alone. The 52-year-old icon was with a handsome younger man, whom she later posted on her Instagram! Tagging him and everything! Turns out the guy is Douglas Chabbott.

She looked stunning in a strapless white dress with bold black embroidery, and chunky high heels, and looked very comfortable with the entrepreneur.

The two had their arms around each other as they walked out, and at one point, he grabbed her face to pose for the paparazzi. She didn't seem to care they were being photographed either, with them waving and posing, looking like a full-blown couple.

He kept it simple in a white tee and beige chinos, and looked happy to be there. Her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara was also there, so he's met one of the most important people in her life.

Chabbot's profile is private, but he has famous friends. He's followed by stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Sanchez, Anitta, and Tom Holland.

Turns out it's not the first time they've hung out. Back in December 2024, Vergara was spotted leaving dinner with him and Sydney Sweeney, so it's possible they've been dating for months. 

A not-so-single Vergara? 

Vergara was believed to be single after her split from Joe Manganiello in 2023. She was briefly linked to orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman from November 2023 to July 2024, and even hard-launched him on her Instagram, but things ended. A source told OK Magazine they just had different lifestyles, “Sofía’s all about spontaneity and having fun, and Justin’s a professional with a schedule; he can’t jet off at the last moment,” this insider shared.

She was then linked to Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton after they enjoyed dinner in New York, but sources said it fizzled fast. Insiders claimed to outlets that Vergara was let down and wanted more from him, but clearly, the past is the past, and she's doing just fine.
