Jennifer Lopez, who is preparing to host the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26, turned heads with two stunning looks on Monday night. The performer may be recovering from a recent injury while rehearsing for the award show, but this did not stop her from making a stylish appearance in New York City.
The 55-year-old multi-hyphenate star made a triumphant return to the public eye in not one but two stunning ensembles for composer John Kander’s 98th birthday celebration in NYC.
Her latest public appearance came just days after revealing she had sustained a facial injury while rehearsing. “So this happened,” she shared on Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of her visibly swollen nose. She confirmed she required stitches, adding, “Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond. A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.”
JLo was all smiles on Monday night, and no trace of the incident remained, as she arrived at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in a soft, sculpted pink gown from The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel, paired with a dramatic fur shrug, an embellished clutch, and strappy heels.
Later that night, she changed into a different look for the invite-only afterparty at Bryant Park Grill. Swapping the dramatic pink ensemble for a figure-hugging all-white look, stepping out in a stylish dress from Stephane Rolland’s Fall 2023 collection.
The jaw-dropping silhouette was paired with diamond hoops and a sparkling clutch. Jennifer seemed to be in good spirits, posing for the cameras outside the event, and talking to fans, who were excited to catch a glimpse of the star.
Fans of the singer are thrilled for her upcoming appearance at the AMAs, as she is the fourth artist in history to host the show more than once, joining Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, and Pitbull.
“Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show,” said Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske in an April statement. “We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick-off celebration of summer.”
