Picture this: you're in Mexico City, strolling through on a sunny day, when suddenly you spot a small, orange-haired man riding a bike. You realize it's Ed Sheeran, before he falls right on the asphalt. For some locals, that’s exactly how their Thursday afternoon went, and lucky for us, Sheeran let us in on the fun.

The global superstar had a camera on his bike facing himself, and he shared the video of the fall on Instagram. He was cruising along in a pink backward cap, sunglasses, and a white T-shirt, chatting with someone off-camera, when all of a sudden, he lost balance and rolled over. Thankfully, it seems like he’s just fine.

But if you're getting déjà vu, you’re not wrong. This isn't Ed’s first biking accident. Back in 2017, he seriously injured himself after falling off a borrowed bike while attempting to ride down a steep hill. He later said on The Jonathan Ross Show, “I broke my wrist, my elbow, and my rib. When it happened, I got up and was like, ‘That hurt,’ and then cycled to the pub. Went home, went to sleep, and then woke up at 5 a.m. in a lot of pain. And then went to the hospital.”

Ed’s musical adventures in Mexico

Bike fall aside, Ed’s time in Mexico has been full of magical moments. He recently gave a major shoutout to Venezuelan-American artist Elena Rose, posting a dreamy video of her singing “Thinking Out Loud” in Spanish while he played guitar. He even made it a collaboration post, sharing it with his 48.7 million followers.

The comments were full of love from fellow Latin artists like Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo, Gale, Mario Bautista, and Greeicy.

Earlier in his trip, Ed joined a local pop-up jam session, playing “Old Phone” with musicians on guitar and bass. “Back in Mexico after a very long time. Did a pop-up jam here with local musicians, loved it,” he captioned the clip.
