When addressing the court, Kardashian relayed the story of the robbery, sharing that she was getting ready for bed when she heard stomping on the stairs. Kardashian revealed that she thought it was her sister Kourtney and a friend, on their way back to the hotel following a night out enjoying Paris Fashion Week

Masked men stormed the room, throwing her on the bed and zip-tying her hands. In her testimony, Kardashian shared that she was afraid she was going to be assaulted. "I absolutely did think I was going to die," she said to the courts, per the AP News.

In her testimony, Kardashian revealed that her thoughts throughout the robberies were with her kids. “I have babies,” Kardashian said. “I have to make it home. They can take everything. I just have to make it home.”

Kardashian concluded her testimony by thanking the French authorities for “allowing me to share my truth.”

The robbers left Kardashian tied in the bathroom and took home $6 million in jewelry items. She escaped the bathroom and found her friend and stylist Simone Harouche, with the two hiding out in the balcony's bushes in case the robbers returned.

Later, it was learned that the thieves arrived at the No Address Hotel dressed as police officers and that they were all aged 60s and 70s and were a part of a criminal ring. They were able to pinpoint Kardashian's location by tracking her social media posts and geotags.

The French press dubbed them "les papys braqueurs," the grandpa robbers. Twelve suspects were originally charged with charges like robbery, kidnapping, and membership in a criminal gang.
