The Met Gala is underway in New York, and the biggest names in fashion and entertainment are enjoying an exclusive dinner and show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It wouldn’t be the Met Gala without the Kardashian/Jenner crew, and this year, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner represented the famous family.
© GettyEarlier in the evening, Kim and North gave fans a sneak peek of their outfits on TikTok, showing off their before and after looks. While fans expected to see North West by Kim’s side, she ended up walking the red carpet solo.
This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” explores the legacy of Black fashion and dandyism. For the biggest night in fashion, Kim wore a custom Chrome Hearts black crocodile leather dress with a train and a statement-making matching cowboy hat.

North, meanwhile, wore a cowhide jacket and shorts, black Nike crew socks, and $1,200 Rick Owens sneakers. She layered silver and turquoise jewelry and added streaks of blue to her long braids.
Her look was right on theme with "Tailoring Black Style,” and she was spotted leaving the hotel with her famous mom, but was not photographed at the steps. It’s possible that North met her mom inside.
The Met Gala has many rules, and the 18+ age limit came into play in 2018, but per E!, minors can attend if their parents are in attendance. But that's assuming Anna Wintour sent North an invitation.
There was minor drama as Kim made her way to the event, a viral video showed a security guard tripping over her dress as they left the hotel with paparazzi chaos around them. Kim seemed to shoot an annoyed look after the trip, with TikTok users quipping that someone was going to get fired as a result.
