Following her recent split from Jonathan Davino, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney enjoyed a lively weekend in Las Vegas with friends.
On Saturday, May 3, the 27-year-old starlet joined Patrick Schwarzenegger and Machine Gun Kelly at the launch of the Palm Tree Beach Club. The event was part of a three-day opening celebration in Sin City.
Sweeney posted a cheerful group photo to her Instagram Stories, showing her standing between MGK and Schwarzenegger. In the snapshot, she posed confidently with her hands on her hips, while MGK flashed a peace sign and Schwarzenegger smiled beside her. She also uploaded a playful video of herself flipping her hair in the crowd during a DJ set by Kygo. At one point in the night, Sweeney and Schwarzenegger joined the DJ at his booth — a moment Kygo shared on his own Instagram account.
Photos later posted to X showed Sweeney in deep conversation with MGK, which sparked some conversation from curious fans--especially singe MGK is also newly-single following his split from Megan Fox.
Sweeney and MGK share a longstanding friendship and have collaborated on past projects, including 2019’s Big Time Adolescence and Downfalls High, a 2021 film MGK created with Mod Sun, where Sweeney played a lead role. Schwarzenegger and Sweeney also have a shared connection through The White Lotus — he appeared in the third season, while she starred in the first.
This festive night out came shortly after news broke that Sweeney and Davino, 41, had officially called off their engagement. The pair, who started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022, had initially planned a May wedding, but it was reportedly put on hold earlier this year. By March, sources confirmed their breakup.
A source close to Sweeney shared that she’s currently focused on her career. “She’s exactly where she wants to be,” they told PEOPLE, adding that despite her packed schedule, the Anyone but You actress is embracing her busy year with excitement and determination.
“Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd," they continued. "She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.”
