Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa are marking nearly three decades of marriage, and the couple is still going strong. The celebrity couple is one of the most fan-favorites in the entertainment industry, as they continue to share their love and appreciation for each other, after marrying in 1996.
The pair took to social media to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary, sharing glimpses of their journey together and the bond they've built since their whirlwind Las Vegas elopement in 1996. The actor wrote a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing multiple photos of their relationship over the years.
The sweet post included their red carpet appearances and even intimate moments. Keeping it simple, he wrote, "Happy 29th anniversary sexy." Meanwhile, the media personality shared her own emotional post in honor of their anniversary.
Kelly highlighted their past trips to Italy, possibly from their honeymoon days in Rome and Capri, as well as recent photos from another Italian getaway. "Italian Renaissance. Amore eterno," she wrote, "Happy 29th Anniversary, [Mark]."
The couple first met while starring on the show 'All My Children' and began dating shortly after. The pair separated for a short time and reconciled, with Mark proposing to Kelly to elope and marry in Las Vegas.
The couple tied the knot at the Chapel of the Bells. "If we had to endure a large wedding with complicated details, we would not have made it," she shared in 2022. She also shared details of the "a very normal, very regular wedding," which cost around $179.
"We were like, 'Now, this is gambling! Woohoo!'" she said at the time. Since their marriage, the couple has expanded their family, raising three children: Michael (27), Lola (23), and Joaquin (22).
Last year, the couple took the opportunity to reflect on their long-lasting relationship during a special anniversary celebration on 'Live with Kelly and Mark.'
“I was in bed last night trying to do the math,” he shared. “My benchmark for a long time is going through first grade to being a senior in high school. Twelve years is a long time. Like, when you were a kid, that’s a whole lifetime. That’s like doing that twice plus a PhD. Plus 4 years in college and a master’s program!” he said humorously.
