President Donald Trump was treated to a special performance on Monday evening. The president's grandson Theodore Kushner played an "original composition" on the piano for his maternal grandfather at the White House. Proud mom Ivanka Trump took to social media on Tuesday to share a video of her 8-year-old son showing off his musical talent.
"Theo debuting his first original composition for Grandpa last night at The White House 🥰," Ivanka wrote alongside the video.
Theo was filmed playing the piano, while the president looked on. "That was really good, bud," someone off-camera could be heard saying after Theo finished. The president agreed, telling his grandson, "Yeah, you're good."
Arjun Singh, a reporter for The Epoch Times, reported that Theo played on the Steinway Grand “State Piano." Per the White House Historical Association, the piano was presented in 1938 to President Franklin D. Roosevelt for the White House by Theodore Steinway, on behalf of the Steinway family. The grand piano has gold leaf decoration representing "five musical forms indigenous of America" and legs carved in the form of American eagles.

Ivanka and her kids were at the White House on April 28, along with the Philadelphia Eagles to celebrate the NFL team's 2025 Super Bowl victory. The mom of three later posted a video featuring footage and pictures of her son Theodore and Eagles running back Saquon Barkley throwing a football and racing at the White House.
"Celebrating with champions at the White House today! 🏅🎉 ," Ivanka captioned the post. "Congratulations to the @philadelphiaeagles on an amazing season and Super Bowl win !My highlight of the day? Theo challenging @saquon to a race in the Rose Garden after my father wisely demurred ! 😂 Thanks Saquon for being such a great sport ! 🦅🏆🥰📷: White House photographer @dto.rok. Ivanka referenced her dad's joke of wanting to race the NFL star in her caption. On Sunday, Saquon and the president of the United States golfed at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, according to reports. Before traveling to D.C., President Trump spoke about the Eagles player, telling reporters, "What a nice guy he is. I wanted to race him, but I decided not to do it."
Ivanka has previously described her youngest child as her "football-loving eight-year-old." Back in February, Theo joined his grandfather at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, and last month, he got to play at the Dallas Cowboys' practice stadium. "This weekend was truly special—Theo, playing quarterback, participated in his first flag football tournament, and the team advanced to the championship game held at Dallas Cowboys’ practice stadium—a dream come true for my football-loving eight-year-old," Ivanka shared on Instagram. "Watching Theo and his team, the 305ers, showcase their determination, teamwork, and passion for the game was such a proud mom moment. Huge congratulations to Theo and the entire team for making it this far and giving it their all! 🦾🏆🏈✨."
