Pure magic happened somewhere between NYU's campus coffee runs and late-night cram sessions. Fast forward a few years, and the 23-year-old daughter of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos is living her best, soft-launch-turned-hard-launch life with her "heavenly" boyfriend, Cassius Kidston.
While the exact timeline of Lola Grace Consuelos and Cassius's love story is a little fuzzy, we know they first crossed paths at New York University. Cassius, a 25-year-old Englishman, graduated in May 2022 with a degree in sports management. Lola collected her music and production degree in 2023, a few TikToks, and soulful ballads later.
Cassius didn't make an official cameo on Lola's social media until October 2022. Since then, the two have been inseparable. Her recent birthday tribute to Cassius was an album of scenes straight out of a Vogue travel editorial: chic outdoor events, cuddles in Montalegre, Portugal, coordinated poses in front of grand archways, and Cassius poolside repping a "Disco Rules" shirt like he owns the summer.
The guy isn't just a pretty face with excellent bone structure either. Since February, Cassius has worked as a sports talent sales assistant at the powerhouse Creative Arts Agency. Before that, he helped run the family biz, Kidston SA, his dad Simon Kidston's boutique firm for billionaire classic car collectors.
Cassius's family tree is basically one big highlight reel. His cousin is retail icon Cath Kidston, and his great-uncle Glen Kidston was a Bentley-driving, record-breaking aviator back in the roaring '20s.
Meanwhile, Lola has her legacy to live up to. Including $190M worth of family morning show charm courtesy of Kelly and Mark. But she's carving out her spotlight, prepping to drop her debut EP, with her leading man cheering her on from the sidelines.
In a 2023 interview with E! News, Lola said Cassius offers the kind of support you dream of: "Just great advice, letting me do my thing... because they're not singers, he's not a singer. I'm the singer here."
Just last week, Lola enlisted Cassius for a hilarious TikTok hyping her new single, "Lola," and let's say couples who content-create together stay together.
And if you're wondering how Kelly and Mark feel about all this? Kelly is firmly aboard the S.S. Cassius, once calling him "the chicest of the chic." But despite their chill exterior, the LIVE! hosts admitted they would "literally die" if Lola and Cassius tried to elope Vegas-style, as they did back in 1996.
In a 2023 episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” Consuelos talked about his children with Kelly Ripa, and how amazing it's been to watch them grow up. "And I'm looking at my daughter, who is 22 years old, who used to be — and I say this affectionately — such a pain. Such a pain. But let me tell you, once they get a little bit older, the gift of hanging out with your adult children is so amazing," he said. Ripa explained that her graduation and birthday present was her trip. "We just said that, it was really more for us," said Consuelos.
