Angelina Jolie made a meaningful stop in São Paulo on April 4, 2025, during her time in the country, where she visited the Center for Human Rights and Citizenship of Immigrants (CDHIC) in Tatuapé, a neighborhood located east of the city.

“She had the opportunity to get to know an indigenous territory and more of the culture of indigenous people in Brazil," Sonia stated. “This is an important effort by the international community to recognize that survival and building a possible future for the world comes through the struggle of indigenous peoples," she added.
