Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's 'friendship' after divorce: They 'continued to support' each other

Ben Affleck recently emphasized his respect for Jennifer Lopez after breaking his silence following the controversial divorce between the pair. Despite the split, his admiration for the singer remains unwavering. "I hope I was clear that really this is somebody I have a lot of respect for," he said to GQ. "I have nothing but respect."

“It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships," he said to the publication, adding that there was no drama during the split.

Now, a source revealed to In Touch that the pair still have support for each other and are amicable after the separation. “She and Ben communicate all the time and continue to support each other’s endeavors,” a source told the publication.

“J. Lo admires Ben for expressing himself in such an honest way in the article," the insider said about Ben's latest interview, where he shared his side of the story and his thoughts on the relationship and the divorce.

The insider said that Jennifer has a different take on what happened during the marriage struggles. “J. Lo has a different perspective of how things ended,” the source added. “A part of her still thinks Ben didn’t try hard enough to make it work.”

J. Lo holds no regrets. “She is grateful the friendship’s still there,” the source said. “Neither one can imagine a time when they don’t talk. They love each other, and that will never go away.”

As for Ben, he insists that there are no hard feelings, and their respectful co-existence is a sign of their growth. Both stars may have had different takes on their marriage their bond of mutual respect and support continues to endure, even after the divorce.
