Elon Musk and Grimes began their romantic relationship in 2018 and decided to part ways in September 2021. The former couple share three children, 4-year-old son X Æ A-Xii, 2-year-old son Techno Mechanicus, and 3-year-old Exa Dark Sideræl.
While the pair decided to call it quits in 2021, it seems like their co-parenting process has been complicated. Most recently, the musician shared an "urgent" public message, commenting on a "medical crisis" and urging him to answer.

If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can do that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon," she shared.

© X/TwitterThe artist deleted the message and has yet to share an update on the situation. Back in September 2024, she sued her former romantic partner regarding parental rights over their three children, with a “petition to establish parental relationship” in the Superior Court of San Francisco.

Both enforcing discipline and being their friend," she said. "Who knows, maybe they’ll resent me and reject family culture, but I feel like they will not."
