Colleen Hoover has returned to Instagram, but her feed is noticeably different. The It Ends With Us author deactivated her account in January as the drama unfolded between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, with rumors and speculation about whose side she was on.

Now that the 45-year-old It is back on Instagram, she wiped her feed of recent posts of Lively and Baldoni. As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the author had previously posted photos from the film’s promotional campaign that included the actor and director.

While she deleted the recent posts, there are still some old ones. Including a July 2022 repost from Baldoni, who recently opened up about his "intense year" at a table read. The author and director look very friendly in the video. People are still confused about when things went awry between everyone in the production.

The most interesting thing about the scrubbing is her removal of Lively. She had previously stood by her side, posting on her Instagram Story the actress was, “nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met." She also avoided discussing any of the allegations.

While Hoover hasn’t explained the purge, fans are speculating whether she’s trying to distance herself from the film’s drama or if something new has unfolded.

Updates on the case

Hoover's return to Instagram could be the start of her wanting to put the whole scandal behind her. Meanwhile, the artists have been going full force with their respective lawsuits.

People reported on Thursday both Lively and Baldoni have opted out of mediation, meaning a trial is looking more likely. In a February 13 filing, their attorneys called settlement talks "inappropriate" and "premature." Lively’s team is now pushing for Baldoni’s phone records, claiming they’ll expose efforts to "destroy" her reputation.

Earlier this month, both sides met for a pre-trial conference where Judge Liman warned against using the media to sway public opinion. He also declined to sanction Baldoni’s attorney despite Lively’s team accusing him of attacking her publicly,  per People.

The trial is currently set for March 9, 2026. Unfortunately for those hoping for another Johnny Depp and Amber Heard televised trial, experts have told multiple outlets it's unlikely since their legal battle is unfolding in United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, a federal court, which largely prohibits recording devices.
