Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating! The soccer icon just turned 40 and hosted his family for a special birthday party, entertained by none other than Rauw Alejandro.
In videos shared on Ronaldo's sister Katia Aveiro's Instagram, he's seen dancing happily with his mother, Dolores Aveiro. In the video, Rauw Alejandro can be heard singing a salsa version of his song "Diluvio."
Ronaldo's birthday celebration looked joyful, with him surrounded by his closest family members and friends, including his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and their kids, Cristiano Jr., Eva Maria, Mateo, Alana Martina, and Bella.
Ronaldo shared his thanks and some photos with the world on his Instagram, including holding on to Georgina, and another one where he's seen with his entire family.
"Thank you all for the amazing birthday messages! Had a great day with family and friends, couldn’t wish for anything better," he captioned the post.
He appears to have celebrated all day long, with his team AlNassr wishing him a happy birthday with a cake and the presence of his teammates. The official Instagram account of the team shared some photos of the celebration, captioning it, "The AlNassr family celebrating greatness."
Rauw Alejandro has long been a fan of Ronaldo
For his part, Rauw Alejandro seemed thrilled to be asked to perform for Ronaldo, a player that he admires. In an Instagram story, Alejandro shared a photo of Ronaldo with the Portugal team jersey, which has the number 7 printed on the back.
"Many years learning from you. Thank you for inspiring me! Happy birthday Cristiano. Long life and health. God bless you. Love you bro," he captioned the post, adding the emoji of the goat.
Before pursuing music, Alejandro wanted to be a professional soccer player, playing the sport throughout most of his life. In his 20s, he experienced an injury that derailed his dreams of becoming an athlete.
