Incoming First Lady Melania Trump exuded elegance on Inauguration Day. The world got their first look at the fashionable first lady on Monday as she and President-elect Donald Trump arrived at St. John's Episcopal Church. For her daytime look, Melania reportedly tapped American fashion designer Adam Lippes. The first lady, 54, was dressed in a navy double breasted coat by the designer, which she topped off with a matching Eric Javits boater hat. The mom of one completed her ensemble with black gloves and navy pumps, and styling her hair into a chic bun.

For the inauguration ceremony in 2017, the first lady was dressed in a powder blue dress and matching bolero jacket by Ralph Lauren. “With the historic swearing-in of her husband, Donald J. Trump, as the 45th President of the United States, the first lady-elect will become America’s new First Lady wearing an American designer who transformed American fashion, Ralph Lauren," a spokeswoman for the first lady told WWD at the time.

It was important to us to uphold and celebrate the tradition of creating iconic American style for this moment."
Ahead of her husband's second inauguration, Melania sat down with Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt. Ainsley revealed that she asked the first lady about her 2025 inauguration looks and was told by Melania, "You just have to stand by and wait."

It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of Law Enforcement, First Responders, Police K9s and even horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th (In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly!)."

The various Dignitaries and Guests will be brought into the Capitol."
He concluded his message, writing, "Everyone will be safe, everyone will be happy, and we will, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
