It seems Camila Cabello and Normani are taking steps forward in their friendship. The two 'Fifth Harmony' members have not been close for a while after the 'Havana' singer decided to leave the group and embark on a solo career, distancing herself from Normani, Dinah-Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke.
The pair have been rumored to have a fallout during their time in the group. However, Camila has revealed that they are moving forward and have been making amends. “I remember times when we’d just be laughing so hard. With space, we can go back and tap into that," Camila said during her latest interview with Nylon.
"The past couple of times I’ve seen her, I say something and she laughs really hard. It doesn’t feel like we’re strangers. We’re getting back to the times when we [were] really close," she said. The two singers had a sweet moment at Paris Fashion Week during the Vetements Spring-Summer 2025 show.
They were photographed laughing and sharing an embrace. This was their first moment together in public in 6 years. "Putting out a project is vulnerable and hard and you are doing it beautifully," Camila wrote on Instagram in June, after Normani released Dopamine. “I think conflict resolution is really important, especially when it comes to a group,” she said to Nylon when talking about the separation of the group. “Those are skills you don’t have when you’re 16 years old.”
“How do you deal with being left out? How do you deal with jealousy? How do you deal with these things without hurting yourself or other people?” she reflected, adding that she was “struggling more than a normal teenager should” while navigating fame at the height of their success.
