As  awards season gets ready to heat up, the nominations for the 75th annual  Golden Globe gave us a hint of what's to come as they were unveiled on Monday live from Los Angeles. Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams, Judi Dench, Margot Robbie and Emma Stone are up for top acting awards in film, making them ones to watch as possible contenders in  the Oscars race.

In TV, the 2018 nominees list features some returning favorites like The Crown while freshman series like Big Little Lies and The Handmaid's Tale also dominated the categories. On the big screen, the romantic drama Call Me By Your Name scored three nods and Guillermo del Toro's Shape of Water was recognized for seven trophies. The 2018 Golden Globe Awards will be handed out live on January 7 from the Beverly Hilton.
