 Wolf Cut

Redken ambassador and hairstylist Juandiegoteo explains that the wolf cut is one of the boldest trends, combining the essence of the mullet and shaggy cuts.

“It’s a layered haircut with bangs that adds volume and frames the face. It suits almost every hair type and face shape,” he says.

Expert tips:

  • For round faces: opt for side bangs.
  • For fine hair: go easy on the layers and try soft curtain bangs.
  • Balayage or highlights enhance the volume and texture.

He recommends drying the hair upside down for natural movement and finishing with a touch of anti-frizz serum or light hairspray to add texture.

Butterfly Cut

According to Juandiegoteo, this cut features soft layers that flow around the face, usually with long, full bangs that open naturally and hit around jaw level. “This haircut softens facial features and works especially well for oval, square, or long faces,” he explains.

The number of layers is customized, typically between two and six, depending on hair length and density.

Shaggy Cut

Straight from the ’70s, the shaggy cut frames the face with a lifting optical effect. “Layered and feathered hair gives a youthful, voluminous look, even for mature faces,” Juandiegoteo notes.

Celebrities like Taylor Swift, Alexa Chung, and Meg Ryan have made it iconic. It’s especially flattering for fine hair, adding volume and movement while giving an effortlessly youthful and fresh vibe.

Clavicut with Bangs

Madrid stylist Alex Sestelo describes the clavicut as “A sleek, straight cut paired with straight or curtain bangs for a chic, sophisticated result.” It’s ideal for longer faces, as the bangs balance proportions and soften angular features.

Bixie or Long Pixie

“This season, we say goodbye to the classic pixie,” Sestelo says. “The bixie, a mix between a bob and pixie, returns stronger than ever, adding volume and a soft, natural texture.”

It pairs beautifully with open, long bangs, perfect for oval faces or wavy hair. For finer, straight hair, he recommends an XL pixie, longer and slightly layered for a more relaxed, modern look.

Long Shag

This season, the long shag makes a comeback with effortless movement. “It’s ideal for naturally wavy hair,” says Sestelo.

The secret? Light, layered bangs that enhance texture and volume while maintaining length. It’s the perfect balance for those who want dimension without sacrificing their long locks.

Blunt Cut

Polished, edgy, and full of personality, the blunt cut with baby bangs or an Amélie-style fringe is one of the boldest trends this fall. “It highlights the eyes and adds a vintage touch,” says Sestelo.

This symmetrical, minimalist look is ideal for those who love strong, statement styles.

Short Bob

Stylist Iván Gómez, who created the look for Natalia Verbeke last year, says the short bob remains a timeless favorite. “It’s one of the most stylish haircuts of the season. It instantly modernizes and adds cool texture,” he explains.

Inspired by Natalie Portman’s look in Léon: The Professional (1994), this bob proves that a classic cut never goes out of style. Gómez customizes each look: “In Natalia’s case, the bangs couldn’t be too long because of her natural cowlick, and the layers had to be longer to add weight and movement.”

Shullet

The shullet, a mix between shag and mullet, is perfect for those seeking texture and attitude. Popularized by Scarlett Johansson early in her career, this rock-chic cut adds movement and personality, especially to fine hair. With soft layers and open bangs, it adapts easily to any hair type.

Long Hair with Long Fringe

Finally, for those who want a subtle change without losing length, long hair with a long fringe is the perfect choice. Soft layers and an XL bang frame the face beautifully and add a youthful touch. “A few waves, balayage highlights, or a ribbon accessory make it even more romantic and chic,” says Sestelo.

This low-maintenance yet stylish option proves that sometimes, a fringe is all you need to refresh your look.
