A spokesperson for the couple shared the news in a statement (via HOLA! USA's sister brand HELLO!) that read: "The Duke and Duchess of Westminster are very pleased to share that the Duchess is expecting a baby in the summer. The couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together."

The announcement comes less than a year after Hugh and Olivia tied the knot in what was described as the society wedding of the year. The couple wed last June at Chester Cathedral. The Prince of Wales is said to have served as an usher at the wedding. The Princess of Wales, who began a course of preventative chemotherapy months earlier in February, and her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, did not attend the nuptials, which took place on a school day.

When it came to picking godparents for their son Prince George, a source told PEOPLE (via E! News) in 2013 that Prince William and Catherine "wanted to include family and friends and reflect their life on both sides."

Prince George being Hugh's godchild is just one of the ways that the British royals are connected to the Duke. Hugh's mother Natalia Grosvenor is a godmother to Prince William, while King Charles is a godfather to the Duke of Westminster.

In addition to Prince George, Hugh is reportedly a godparent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Prince Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not among the guests at Hugh and Olivia's wedding in the UK. Ahead of the nuptials, PEOPLE reported that Harry and Meghan, who reside in California with their children, had declined an invitation to the wedding.

According to the outlet, “There was an acknowledgment on both sides that it would be difficult for Harry to attend.” A source described the conversation between Prince Harry and Hugh as an “understanding between the two friends." The source also told PEOPLE at the time that the Duke of Sussex sends "his love and support and admiration for the couple" for their wedding day.

Hugh became the Duke of Westminster following his father's death in 2016.
