Queen Camilla: A closer look at the details of her crowning attire

Queen Camilla’s dress was off-white and decorated with various golden flower patterns. According to our sister publication HOLA! SPAIN, the dress was woven by Stephen Walters and was made with a type of satin fabric called Peau de Soie.

Bruce Oldfield designed the look in his studio in Battersea.

There are various flower patterns over the length of the dress, including those that represent the four nations of the United Kingdom: a rose, a thistle, a daffodil, and a shamrok.

These represent England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland respectively.

With this design, Bruce Oldfield goes down in history, with the dress likely earning a spot in The Royal Collection. Curiously, Oldfield was a close friend of Princess Diana and one of her favorite designers.

Queen Camilla was crowned with Queen Mary’s Crown, an item encrusted with approximately two thousand diamonds.
