Something is very wrong in space. Eiza González stars in "Ash," an exciting new sci-fi project that has just released its first trailer.
The trailer trails González as a lost astronaut who appears to hold no recollection of her mission or where she is, only remembering figments of her mission and her crew mates.
Her lonely detour through the strange planet is interrupted by the arrival of Aaron Paul, who plays a mysterious astronaut who claims he was sent to rescue her after he received a distress signal from her location.
The trailer promises a colorful film, boasting lots of trippy visuals, cool-looking science-fiction gadgets, and terrifying moments. It also shared the film's premiere date: March 21st, and an exclusively theatrical release date.
The film seems to submerge Gonzalez in her action film roots, featuring many moments where she flexes the skills she's honed in through the course of her career in Hollywood.

In previous interviews, González has opened up about the making of the film and her friendship with Paul. “We have a lot of scenes together, and our dynamic is super intense and crucial in the film,” she said to Entertainment Weekly.
"Working with him was so special, he's so disciplined, and we had a great dynamic on set,” she continued. “We kept saying, 'Can you believe we're making a movie together?' And it's such a special movie.”
González also discussed the film's director, Flying Lotus, who's a musician and filmmaker known for his striking visual style. “We couldn't have been more lucky, because his visual imagery and the way that he spoke to us about the movie really translated to the making of the film,” she said.
