It's Friday, and 2025 has been an experience, to say the least. Amid the wildfires in Los Angeles and terrifying headlines, music is a powerful tool to keep us going. Let's start the weekend with a round-up of new music released this week from various genres, a-list stars, and rising talent.

J Balvin - Rio

J Balvin reflects on his spiritual growth and the journey that brought him to where he is today with one of his most emotional projects yet. The song is a touching tribute to his girlfriend, Valentina Ferrer, and their son, Rio. Named after his son, the Colombian singer used personal clips they've filmed over the years, creating a heartfelt and intimate music video.

Combo Chimpita - Dímelo

Brooklyn-based Combo Chimpita kicks off 2025 with a powerfully groovy, genre-blending track always staying true to their Colombian roots. "Dimelo" is "an honest song that speaks to however much you love someone, you can’t force them to love you - all of that love is for you to give to yourself," they wrote on Instagram, saying it's a look at what's to come.

FKA twigs, North West - Childlike Things

It looks like now we know why Kanye West has been sharing posts of his daughter North in the studio all week, she just dropped a single with FKA Twigs. The 10-year-old shows off her flow, shocking fans with a full-on rap in Japanese.

AITANA - SEGUNDO INTENTO

Spanish songstress, AITANA, kicks off a new chapter with "Segundo Intento," a fun and upbeat track about second chances and self-discovery. The pop track makes you want to dance and sets the tone for her upcoming album, showcasing her growth as an artist.

 ROBI, Sebastian Yatra - Lienzo

Robi and Sebastian Yatra come together for a sweet and poppy anthem. “I love how Robi creates music. From the start, I knew we shared a vision and could make something special,” Yatra shares. Robi adds, “Lienzo is a canvas where we poured our souls. Filming the video in New York brought it to life with so much energy and love.”

Alexia Naomi & Liricistas - Respirar

Alexia Naomi shows off her ethereal voice on "Respirar." The singer was a semi-finalist on The Voice Chile and recently released her album, NAOMI. She keeps the momentum going dropping "Respira" with her fellow Chilean rap group, Liricistas.

Neton Vega - Mi Vida Mi Muerte

Netan Vega brings smooth R&B vibes to corridos with an exciting genre-blending experience. "Mi Vida Muerte" is an example of the new generation of Latin artists going outside the box and experimenting with different vibes.

Danny Ocean - Vitamina

Venezuelan singer-songwriter Danny Ocean drops another fun and romantic track, “Vitamina." Blending pop with his love of tropical rhythms he desribed the track as “a song for those loves we hope never end."

Adriel Favela, Carin Leon - Un 2X3

Adriel Favela kicks off his new album Origen with "Un 2x3," a huge collaboration with Mexican superstar Carín León. Blending heartfelt lyrics, powerful melodies, and traditional Mexican sounds with a modern twist, the track showcases the duo's deep love of the genre while moving outside its boundaries.
