Urban shared a clip on his social media of his new reality show "The Road," which follows 12 up-and-comers in the genre who compete for a spot to open for Urban's tour in the US.

In a chat with Blake Shelton, Urban opened up about his notorious hairstyles and about the challenges of touring, a job he's been pursuing for the past 30 years. "Where do we start? It's a calling, and you're going to do it or you're not going to make it," he said.

"When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning, sick as a dog, in the middle of nowhere, and you've got to play your fifth show that night... missing your friends, your family, completely lonely and miserable... You ask yourself, 'Why am I doing this?" The only answer can be: Because this is what I'm born to do.'"

These statements are some of the first that appear to allude to the end of his relationship with Nicole Kidman, whom he was married to for 19 years. It marks his first post on social media since the divorce filing.

"You know you learn a lot when you’ve been on the road for more than a few years.... especially when it comes to your hair.. right Keith Urban???" reads the joint post, initially shared by Shelton.

Kidman filed for divorce this September, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban met in 2005, getting engaged the following year. The two married in Sydney, Australia, where they're both from, and went on to welcome two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, in the following years.

The pair announced their split shortly after the news of their divorce broke. "Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another," said a source to PEOPLE. "She has been fighting to save the marriage."

Kidman's next steps

When it comes to their careers, Kidman and Urban remain busy figures in their respective industries. In the case of Kidman, she has several movies and TV shows in development, including "Practical Magic 2," with Sandra Bullock, and a new season of "Big Little Lies."

She's yet to comment on the divorce publicly, but was featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, seemingly addressing the split. "There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through," she said when discussing the topic of aging.

"You are going to have to feel it, and it's going to feel insurmountable at times. You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass."
